About Stadsklooster Arnhem

The Stadsklooster (literally translated as urban monastery) is a community in the heart of the city of Arnhem, the Netherlands. Founded in the summer of 2016, Stadsklooster Arnhem seeks the flourishment of the city by living together inspired by a monastic rhythm of prayer and embracing a rule of life:

We say ‘yes’ to availability

We say ‘yes’ to vulnerability

Two times a day, the chapel in Stadsklooster Arnhem is open for everyone to join the community in the daily rhythm of prayer. On a regular basis, visitors are welcome in the Stadsklooster to share a meal, work and study together or join in on other activities.

We hope you feel welcome in our community if you are an international visitor. If you want to learn more about our daily prayer and rule of life, you can visit www.northumbriacommunity.org. To see what we are up to you can take a look at our agenda page (in Dutch) or at the Insta feed on this page. Please feel free to contact us via email if you have any questions.
